Commemorating Earth Day, this panel of federal, state and local regulators will discuss what "Environmental Justice" means to their agencies. Discussion will include enforcement priorities and applicable statutes such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Water Act, and California Assembly Bill 617. Panelists will also address some recent cases of interest and issues attorneys may face if their clients are or become involved in these unique cases, including the value of remediation efforts, USDOJ's recently revised Voluntary Corporate Self-Disclosure Policy, and performing Supplemental Environmental Projects (SEPs).
