On December 1, 2024, the Central District launched the Opt-Out Civil Consent to Magistrate Judges Program, pursuant to which a certain portion of new civil filings will be assigned directly to Magistrate Judges for all purposes. Please join our panel of six Central District judges for a practical overview of this program, including information regarding the types of civil cases that will be assigned, the procedures for notice and opt-out, and the benefits this program offers to practitioners and clients alike.
